Gibson Les Paul Standard 1953-1959 Conversion

What we have here is somethig pretty special. Here is the full story:

This is an 1953 Goldtop to 1959 Burst conversion done by Scott Lentz in the 80s and with a recent refinish by Florian Jager.

The top has a super thin veneer, job very well done as could be expected from Scott Lentz.

You can’t really tell there is a veneer unless you look in the pickups cavity.

Chunky neck but very confortable and very nice to play.

The guitar was refinished by Florian Jäger a year ago. For serious enquiries there are pictures available of the work.

The Gibson logo was repositioned to correct ‘59 spot by Florian
Pickups are Gibson Collectors Edition 1959 Series 2
Original ‘59 complete wiring harness with original switch tip (pots dated week 7 of ‘59)
Tuners are from Vintage Haven
Stop tailpiece stud anchor bushings are vintage original from late 50s
Original vintage from 50s pickguard bracket
Original trussrod cover
Late 50s knob pointers
Original late 50’s low profile abr-1 bridge (saddles are correct soft brass by Area ‘59)
Hand Aged CAB (cellulose acetate butyrate) knobs
